Terms and Conditions — UK Transport Tools

These terms govern your use of uktransporttools.co.uk (the "Site") and any products purchased from it. By using the Site or buying a product, you agree to these terms.

UK Transport Tools is operated by Shawn Reiszner, trading as UK Transport Tools, a sole trader based in Oxfordshire, England, United Kingdom.

1. What we offer

The Site provides free calculators and paid downloadable spreadsheet tools ("Products") aimed at transport managers, fleet operators, and logistics professionals, along with links to third-party training course providers.

2. Nature of the tools — please read this carefully

Our calculators and spreadsheet tools are provided to help you estimate costs, plan operations, and track compliance. However:

  • They are estimates and planning aids only, based on the figures you enter and the assumptions stated within each tool.

  • They do not constitute professional, legal, financial, tax, or health & safety advice. Where a tool touches on a regulated area (for example, HGV VED, drivers' hours, or O-licence compliance), always verify against the official source (gov.uk, DVSA, your Traffic Commissioner, or a qualified professional) before relying on it for a business or compliance decision.

  • We do not guarantee the tools are free from errors, and we are not liable for decisions made based on their output — see Section 6 (Liability) below.

3. Buying a Product

  • Products are digital downloads (spreadsheet files), delivered electronically after payment.

  • Payment is processed by Squarespace Payments. We don't see or store your card details.

  • Prices are shown in GBP (£) and include any applicable VAT, where relevant.

4. Your right to cancel and refunds

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel an online purchase. However, this right does not apply once you've downloaded digital content, provided you agreed to instant access and acknowledged that you'd lose your cancellation right by doing so — which happens automatically when you complete a digital download purchase on this Site.

If a Product is faulty (for example, the file won't open, or is significantly different from its description), contact us and we'll put it right or offer a refund at our discretion.

5. Licence to use — what you can and can't do with a Product

When you buy a Product, we grant you a licence to use it for your own business purposes. You may:

  • Use the spreadsheet within your own business, and adapt or customise it for your own use.

You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or share the Product (or the formulas/structure within it) as your own product or template, whether for free or for payment.

  • Claim the Product as your own original work.

We retain all intellectual property rights in the Products.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits or business opportunities) arising from your use of the Site or our Products.

  • Our total liability for any claim relating to a Product is limited to the amount you paid for that Product.

  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

7. Affiliate and referral links

Some links on the Site (for example, in our Courses section) go to third-party training providers we have a referral or commission arrangement with. We only link to providers we'd genuinely recommend, but we are not responsible for the content, pricing, availability, or quality of any third-party course or service — your contract for that course is with the training provider directly, not with us.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
